Federal Pell Grant
The Federal Pell Grant is a grant that does not have to be repaid, except under certain circumstances. It is available almost exclusively to undergraduate students obtaining their first bachelor’s degree. All eligible students will receive the amount they qualify for based on the student’s calculated Expected Family Contribution.
Eligibility
- Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid(FAFSA)
- Must maintain Satisfactory Academic Progress
- Not have defaulted on or owe a refund to any previous aid program
Annual Amounts
Up to $5,920 for fulltime enrollment during the 2017-2018 (July 1, 2017 to June 30, 2018) and 2018-2019 (July 1, 2018 to June 30, 2019) award year. Awards for part-time enrollment are also available. In certain situations, an eligible student can receive up to 150% of his or her scheduled Pell Grant award for an award year
